I can't think of anything sweeter than springtime in Michigan. This past winter was one of the coldest and snowiest in memory. Now, like the green shoots just emerging from the frozen earth in the garden outside my window, we embrace gentle spring rains and summer's bright sunshine like a long lost lover.

I love gardening almost as much as I love writing.  Whenever I'm not working on my latest novel, you'll find me happily digging in the dirt. Each pretty blossom, from the early spring crocus and tulip, to fragrant lilac and peony, and the sturdy snapdragon and musky marigold of late summer, brings a smile to my lips and such joy to my heart. 

My next release will be The Lost, a J.D. Robb novella from Berkley in November 2009. My story, LEGACY, will bring a young woman to Ireland to meet a stranger who will help her untangle her past and discover her true legacy, deep and everlasting love.

2010 will bring the much-anticipated series from Grand Central Publishing, Fool's Gold. Three cousins, long estranged, are brought together by the terms of their grandfather's will, to search for his long-lost treasure. Book 1, Montana Legacy, is Jesse's story. Book 2, Montana Destiny, is Wyatt's story. Book 3, Montana Glory, is Zane's story. I hope you fall in love with these three very different men, and the women who color their lives. And I hope you cheer them on as they hunt for their ancestor's lost treasure.

My dear readers, in all my books I try to share a sense of hope, that life can be better. Of joy, at the simple pleasures we take for granted. Of love. Not only the love of a man and woman, but the universal love that mankind shares. These are my wishes for you. May all my books help you experience hope, joy, and especially love.

I hope you'll spend some of these long, lazy days lost in a good book.
