I love this time of year. I love everything about it. The snow-covered countryside, the frantic shoppers, the whispered secrets, the wrapping, baking, cooking.

Because we're such a diverse family, we get to celebrate several holidays at this time. And all of them are so very special.

I especially love a New Year. To me it's a brand new page, with nothing yet written. I love the idea of filling that page with wonderful new and exciting things in my life and the life of my family and friends.

In the coming year I'll have several new books to offer you. Starting in March, the first of my 3-book series for Grand Central Publishing will be released, written as R C Ryan. This series follows three cousins who, after years of separation, come together to bury their grandfather and take up his lifelong search for his ancestor's fortune, stolen by a jealous prospector and hidden somewhere in the wilderness that surrounds their Montana ranch. In March watch for Montana Legacy, in May, Montana Destiny, and in November Montana Glory.

Also scheduled for late 2010 or early 2011 is our next novella for Berkley/Jove, The Other Side, with stories by J D Robb, Mary Blayney, Patricia Gaffney, Mary Kay McComas, and mine, entitled Almost Heaven.
